Advertised in broucher to produce 26 lbs of ice in 24 hr. Mine didn't produce 26 lbs total or even close to that in 7 days running constantly. Ice ready in 10 min according to ads on line, book says every 8 min. I averaged 88 cubes every 4 hours which barely over flowed a 2 cup measuring cup. Their customer service department is non existent!
They will tell you to flush the unit and when that doesn't work, punt. Overall Review: How can anyone sell a product that doesn't work and then not stand behind it? Cons: Very noisy - makes a constant whirring sound similar to an old microwave at full tilt. Crushes ice but does not flake ice as depicted in the photos.
Leaks water from the bottom of the unit. Overall Review: While inexpensive for the type of machine, it is made of cheap plastic. NweEgg must realize how poor this product is because their policy makes it inelegible for return. Cons: I purchased this unit from NewEgg. After getting the original unit replaced because it was defective out of the box. It start displaying similar signs of not taking water into the unit then went completely defective by overflowing.
The unit keeps taking in water when not necessary there by draining all the water out of a five gallon bottle displacing the contents on counter top and floor. When I asked for a full refund for this defective unit, my request was denied by NewEgg. These ice makers should not be marketeted until a working unit can be shipped.
